Olivia is a Colorado native born and raised in Denver. As a first‑generation college graduate, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO, followed by a master’s degree in Child Development from the Erikson Institute in Chicago, IL. Her academic foundation and professional journey reflect a lifelong commitment to helping people of all ages feel confident, capable, and grounded in who they are. Olivia’s background shapes her approach to community education: she creates learning environments where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and people of all ages feel safe exploring new ideas. Olivia believes that preserving the night sky is more than being able to see the stars—it’s an environmental effort to strengthen community identity, inspire wonder, and ensure that future generations inherit a world where they can still look up and connect with the stars. After moving to Naturita in June 2024, Olivia and her wife Rachel quickly fell in love with the West End—its mountain beauty, its sense of adventure, and the joy of being part of a strong community. Olivia is thrilled to lead the Coalition and looks forward to the many adventures, partnerships, and moments of shared discovery ahead.
